Dilsen-Stokkem

Our wind park in Dilsen-Stokkem has been producing green energy since December 2021. The three wind turbines generate about 15.5 GWh on a yearly basis which is enough to provide energy for around 4,500 households.

Citizen participation

Local financial participation in the project was encouraged by “Bronsgroen”, a cooperative supporting the use of renewable energies.

Mitigation measures

6,5 Hectares of land are being cultivated to mitigate the impact of the three wind turbines on birds. This surface provides them with food and nesting opportunities. The area focuses on yellowhammer, turtle dove, woodcock, woodlark and skylark but it will also benefit other species such as partridge, ring sparrow, greenfinch, linnet and finch.
