Project description
This 20.6 MWp ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant is located in the commune of Arandon-Passins in the department of Isère (38), within the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The facility spans approximately 14.5 hectares to the north of the village of Arandon.
The chosen site is a former quarry, mined in the early 1990s and now backfilled, currently owned by the Communauté de Communes Balcons du Dauphiné. This land offers a prime location for solar energy production due to its history and state.
A 20-year ecological monitoring program is being implemented to track biodiversity changes and evaluate the effectiveness of measures designed to enhance the site's ecological functionality. This long-term study aims to ensure that the project supports environmental sustainability while contributing to the region's renewable energy goals.
